On 1st
May 2011 the New Companies Act 2008 was implemented. No
new Closed Corporations will be registered. Existing
Closed Corporations will continue to exist indefinitely.
This new act has the following implications:

The Act provides for
the continued existence of the Close Corporations
Act.

Close corporations on
the Register as of the effective date of the new
Companies Act will continue to exist accordingly.

registered under the New Act. The Act provides for 2
